Test runs, without the setup.

A shared place to run automated tests, follow a schedule and review the results.

My contribution
Platform development, automation orchestration and deployment
Built with
Python / Flask / Docker / AWS EC2

The problem

Existing automated tests needed a simpler way to run. Colleagues should be able to start a suite and understand the result without configuring a development environment.

The build

A Flask web interface connected scheduled and on-demand runs to containerized test execution. Run history, notifications and visible results brought the workflow into one place.

The result

A shared internal tool for running and reviewing automation. I owned the application, execution workflow and AWS EC2 deployment.

Inspect the work

  1. Choose a suite

Start a run in the web interface, or let a schedule handle it.

  2. Run in a container

Execute the automation in a repeatable Docker environment.

  3. Review the result

Use run history and notifications to follow up.

Internal project. This case describes the workflow and my contribution; proprietary source code and company data are not included.
